Product description

A basic feature of the profile-shaped gaskets is that they have a metal core which, at the same time, serves as a load-bearing element. The metal core takes on the compression force (compressive load), preventing the gasket from being pressed out from the joint. The rubber part of the gasket actually takes on only a very little load in the joint, meaning that the seal may be used several times, with its service-life being extended as well.

Profiled gaskets have a vulcanized O-ring which ensures complete sealing performance at 7-times smaller tightening torque required compared to a classic rubber seal. This also reduces tension and prevents deformations of bolts and flanges. Gaskets are made from various materials. The selection, however, should be determined by the manner and the purpose of use.

Main features:

  • Stainless steel takes on the compression force and the static pressure,
  • Sealing is ensured by the profiled part,
  • The required tightening torque is lower compared to the classic gaskets (Klingerit, rubber,..),
  • Easy installation due to the special form which is very important with larger diameters

 Technical data:

  • Gaskets dimensions: harmonized with the standard flange sizes,
  • Available in nominal sizes from DN 15 to DN 2000,
  • For nominal pressures from PN 6 to PN 200

Models of G-ST-gaskets:

  • G - ST: for sealing in iron and cast iron pipe flanged joints.
  • G - ST - P / S: for sealing in iron and cast iron pipe flanged joints, and reinforced plastic flanged joints.
  • G - ST - P / K: for sealing in plastic (thermoplastic) flanged joints.
  • G - ST - P / K: for sealing in iron and cast iron pipe flanged joints. The open metal ring maintains a constant distance between the flanges. This prevents excessive deforming or ejection at sudden pressure surges in the pipeline. These gaskets are used primarily for great pressure loads (PN 200).
  • G - ST - P / OE: enables customization of profiles and dimensions.
  • G - ST - P / GR: flange gasket for sealing on surfaces with soft / hard rubber lining.

The choice of material depends on the purpose of use:

  • NR natural rubber; temp.: - 30°C to + 60°C
  • NBR nitrile rubber; temp.: - 25°C do + 70°C (approved for potable water and gas)
  • HNBR hydrated nitrile rubber; temp.: - 25°C to + 150°C
  • CR Chloroprene rubber; temp.: - 20°C to + 95°C
  • CSM chlorosulphonated rubber; temp.: - 20°C to + 120°C
  • EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene diene monomer); temp.: - 30°C do + 120°C (approved for potable water)
  • FPM (fluoro carbon rubber); temp.: - 20°C to + 200°C
  • FPM-S fluoro carbon rubber; acid resistant; temp.: - 20°C to + 200°C
  • HR butyl rubber; temp.: - 25°C to + 120°C
